T-Mobile wants to reuse the frequency spectrum allocated to the 4G network for the 5G network. This means that the 5G network will completely replace 4G in the future. Replacing the 5G network with 4G can bring faster speeds and lower latency to users; although the 5G network will offer weaker signal strength in some areas. The 4G network will most likely be technically operational until 2035. From 2026, any activation of LTE or 5G NSA will require an application. All new devices and things that are activated must be compatible with the 5G SA standard. After a few years, only one 5 MHz channel of LTE will remain. The majority of 4G services are expected to be discontinued by 2028. In any case, the full transition from 4G to 5G was quite predictable. Fortunately, the transition process is not very fast and it is likely that a significant portion of people will be able to access 5G by even 2028.
